Cultivo Coffee is a concept project for a fictional specialty coffee brand built around a specific kind of consumer — one who wants their morning cup to mean something. The target audience was adults 40–65 who are drawn to brands that demonstrate a genuine commitment to sustainable farming, fair trade practices, and the communities behind what they drink.
The branding needed to carry that story without turning it into a lecture. Warmth and restraint needed to be demonstrated in equal measure.
Color logic — The palette draws from the harvest itself — warm kraft, muted sage, and raw linen pulled directly from the coffee cherry, the burlap sack, and the mountain landscape. Nothing was introduced that couldn't exist on the farm.
Brand system — Every brand element was anchored to the same through-line: eco-friendly farming, fair wages, and long-term community partnerships. The visual identity doesn't decorate those values — it reflects them. Earthy without being rustic. Modern without losing the agricultural honesty the brand is built on.
Label and packaging design — The packaging was designed to communicate the brand's commitments at a glance — before a single word is read. Material choices, color application, and typographic restraint all signal that this is a brand that has thought carefully about what it puts into the world.
